Role Overview
Voltus is seeking a motivated IT Intern to support enterprise IT operations in a fully remote environment.
You will work closely with the Senior IT Manager and Systems Administrators to assist with service desk operations, cloud platform administration, compliance documentation, and IT governance initiatives.
This internship provides hands-on exposure to enterprise IT tools and security frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & Service Desk
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support
- Manage incident tickets in Zendesk
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes
- Assist with user provisioning and access management
- Help maintain IT asset tracking
Data Retention & Governance
- Support implementation of data retention policies
- Assist in documenting system configurations
- Help collect compliance evidence for SOC 2 audits
- Contribute to IT documentation and SOPs
Platform Administration (Under Supervision)
- Support Google Workspace administration
- Assist with Microsoft 365 configuration
- Help manage device policies and access controls
- Maintain Slack workspace settings
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
(or currently pursuing a Master’s degree) - Familiarity with Windows, macOS, or Linux
- Basic understanding of ticketing systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous IT support or help desk experience
- Familiarity with identity management tools
- Exposure to compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR)
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
